Why ribbed kraft sells
The ridges catch light. On a shelf next to smooth brown bags, the ribbed version reads as more crafted, more deliberate. It’s a small detail but specialty buyers — coffee, chocolate, whisky — pay attention. Several of our highest-volume customers switched from smooth brown to ribbed and reported customer comments within the first week.
How the ribbing prints
Black ink prints clean over the ridges. The paper texture doesn’t show through ink layers, so logos look the same as on smooth brown. Foil stamping — copper especially — looks excellent because the foil catches light at multiple angles thanks to the underlying texture. Digital print is possible but white-ink digital can show banding across the ridges; screen print is the safer choice.
