These lids are pressed entirely from sugarcane fibre (bagasse) — a renewable by-product of sugar production — with no plastic and no wax coating anywhere in the product. They’re a clean, low-waste alternative to PP/PS plastic lids that pairs perfectly with our recyclable coffee cups.
Because they’re pure plant fibre, the lids are 100% compostable and break down within about 90 days under the right conditions. They’re non-toxic, allergen-free and certified for food contact, so they’re safe straight out of the box.
Don’t let the natural material fool you — the lids stay rigid under heat. They withstand boiling water and oil at 100 °C for up to 30 minutes and are microwave- and freezer-safe, just as happy on an iced drink as on a fresh espresso. The neutral sugarcane fibre won’t taint the taste of what’s inside.
