3D partial varnish
3D partial varnish (raised spot gloss) lays a thick, glossy, slightly raised layer of clear varnish over chosen parts of your design — a logo, a name, an accent. It catches the light and adds a tactile, premium feel while the rest of the label stays matte. It is applied to selected areas only, not the whole label, which is why it carries a one-off setup cost and is best value at higher quantities.
Finish
A finish is an optional coating applied over the whole label. It protects the print and changes how the label looks and feels.
Varnish — a thin liquid coating printed straight onto the label. Light protection and a subtle change in sheen, at the lowest cost.
Lamination — a thin plastic film bonded over the label. Noticeably tougher and water- and scratch-resistant — ideal for products that get handled, chilled or wet.
Matte vs glossy — matte is non-reflective and understated, soft to the touch and easy to read; glossy is shiny and reflective, and makes colours pop.
